Voters to get info on 2002 ANC candidates

(Published October 7, 2002)

The 2002 election marks the first time that widely available non-partisan voters’ guides will include Advisory Neighborhood Commission candidates.

The Common Denominator is preparing one of those guides, as is the League of Women Voters of the District of Columbia.

The League of Women Voters is developing a web-based guide on the League’s Web site at www.dnet.org. The first step for candidates who want to be included in the dnet guide is to fill out a short form. Any candidate who needs one may call the League office at (202) 347-3020.

Candidates will receive passwords that will enable them to post their own information on the League’s Web site.

On Oct. 16, the League will hold a workshop for candidates who need assistance in posting their information on the Web. The workshop will be held at Cardozo Senior High School, 1300 Clifton St. NW, from 4 to 7 p.m.
