D.C. senior Olympians to compete

D.C. residents who are 55 or older are eligible to compete in this year’s D.C. Golden Olympic Games from May 13-16.
This year will be the 20th that the event has been held in the District to mark Older Americans Month.
Competitive athletic events include bowling, swimming, track and field, archery, golf, bicycling and table tennis. Events will be held at Fort Stevens Recreation Center and Coolidge Senior High School.
Registration for participants will take place from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 7-9 at Kenilworth-Parkside Recreation Center, 4300 Anacostia Ave. NE, and Fort Stevens Recreation Center, 1327 Van Buren St. NW.
