City sponsors Halloween
activities

Halloween
activities for children and teenagers will again be offered this year at many
city recreation centers. Most of the activities – including parties, films,
dances, ghost stories and refreshments – are free, but residents should check
with their neighborhood recreation center for details.
The following
list of centers with Halloween events was provided by the D.C. Department of
Parks and Recreation.
- Benning Stoddert: OctoberFest
from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 31 for ages 6 and older; Haunted House from 6-8:30 p.m.
Oct. 28-30 for ages 6 and older.
- Chevy Chase: Trick-or-Treat
giveaway from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 24 for ages 6-12.
- Hardy: Halloween Party
from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 25 for ages 12 and younger.
- Friendship: Halloween
Celebration from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 25 for ages 6 to 18.
- Riggs-LaSalle: Halloween
Party from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 31 for ages 5 to 12.
- Fort Davis: Teen Club
Dance from 7:30-8:45 p.m. Oct. 31 for ages 13 and older.
- Hart: Spook House from
6-9 p.m. Oct. 30 for ages 12 and younger.
- Hearst: Halloween Party
from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31 for ages 10 and younger.
- Kalorama: Halloween
Party from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 30 for ages 12 and younger.
